Alanya welcomes the ‘Festival Caravan’: a major cultural festival kicks off at the resort

Alanya in Turkey officially opens the peak summer season. From 22 to 24 May 2026, the popular Mediterranean resort will host the 24th International Festival of Culture, Art and Tourism. This year, the key theme of the large-scale three-day event, organised by the local municipality led by Osman Tarık Özçelik, is ‘Caravan’ (Kervan).

The main attraction for locals and international travellers will be Iskele-Rykhtim Square by the harbour promenade. The main stage will be erected behind the former town hall building. Spectators will be able to attend all creative performances and shows completely free of charge.

The organisers have put together a packed musical programme. On Friday, 22 May, the festival marathon will open with a performance by the Aspendos Ensemble, followed by a concert by the iconic pop singer Ashkyn Nur Yengi. On Saturday, the popular singer Melek Mosso will delight guests with her powerful vocals. The grand finale of the festival on Sunday, 24 May, will be a show by the legendary Balkan composer Goran Bregović.

In addition to the evening concerts, the resort’s streets will host craft exhibitions, fairs featuring traditional Turkish dishes as part of National Cuisine Week, as well as art exhibitions.
