International Trail Marathon in Turkey: Alanya Ultra Trail race to be held at the end of March

On 27-28 March 2026, the Alanya Ultra Trail International Trail Marathon will take place in Alanya, Turkey, bringing together cross-country runners from all over the world. The competition takes place on the Mediterranean coast and is considered one of the most picturesque starts in the region.

The competition routes start at the famous Cleopatra Beach and pass through the historical and natural sights of the city. Participants run past the Alanya Fortress, Damlatash Cave and the Red Tower before heading into the mountainous regions of the Taurus Mountains. This combination of seaside, ancient monuments and mountain trails makes the race unique among trail races.

The programme includes several courses of varying difficulty. Athletes will be able to choose routes of about 68 kilometres, 42 kilometres, 27 kilometres and about 18 kilometres, as well as a short format for amateurs. Thanks to this, both experienced ultramarathoners and novice runners can join the event.

The courses are characterised by significant elevation gain and technically challenging sections. The runners climb from sea level to mountainous terrain where altitude differences can reach several thousand metres, making the event a serious test of endurance.

The organisers are expecting athletes from different countries to take part. Alanya Ultra Trail is not only a sporting event, but also an opportunity to get to know the nature and history of the Mediterranean region of Turkey.
