This important project for the city will be implemented in six stages under the leadership of the Alanya municipality with the participation of various departments and companies.
As part of the modernisation, the electricity, water, natural gas, internet, lighting and storm drainage systems on one of the city's main streets will be completely renovated. All work is scheduled to be completed before the start of the summer tourist season.
The initial excavation work, carried out by the ASAT team, began at the Alaaddin Keykubat monument according to the agreed plan. In the first stage, the reconstruction will extend to Turkmenbashi Street. Subsequently, the repair work will cover the entire section of the street up to the Ataturk monument and will be carried out in six stages.
On the first day of implementation, the project was inspected by Deputy Mayor Murat Levent Kochak, his colleague Hasan Jan Kamburoglu, advisor to the head of the municipality Sadyk Dizdaroglu, director of public works Atakan Uyar, as well as representatives of relevant organisations. While ASAT employees were busy renovating the water supply line, officials briefed participants and thanked them for starting the work.
Murat Levent Koçak emphasised: "We are working according to a clear schedule and in close coordination. The decision to overhaul the infrastructure in the city centre had been in the works for a long time, with the power and water supply networks posing particular challenges. We brought in 7-8 companies at once to ensure coordination and regularly inform residents through the media and social networks. Our services continue to monitor the process, maximising measures to reduce inconvenience to citizens."
The Alanya Municipality plans to complete the work by the start of the tourist season and expresses its gratitude to residents for their understanding and support.
