In light of new regulation coming into force after April 1, 2025, buildings must now consider not only heating needs in winter, but also cooling needs in summer. This innovation means that developers will only be able to license their projects if the new insulation requirements are met.
This is due, among other things, to the peculiarities of the 2025 winter season, which has already surprised residents, especially in resort areas on the Antalya coast, where temperatures stayed just above freezing for two weeks.
The introduction of new standards of thermal insulation in buildings does not bring anything negative. On the contrary, they allow heating and cooling systems to be used more efficiently and economically. However, the introduction of new requirements for thermal insulation will inevitably lead to an increase in the cost of projects, and therefore in real estate prices. It is quite likely that the cost of apartments may increase by 25%.
