Russian citizens bought 275 residential properties in Turkey in March 2025, an increase of 7.4% compared to February, but 33.1% less than in March last year. According to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat), a total of 1,574 properties were purchased by foreigners this month, down 11.5% compared to March 2024, when foreign buyers became owners of 1,778 properties.
In the total volume of real estate transactions, the share of sales to non-residents amounted to 1.4%.
Russians top the list of foreign buyers by number of real estate transactions in Turkey, with 275 transactions in March 2025. Iranians are in second place with 153 transactions, followed by Ukrainians (124). Istanbul (635 deals), Antalya (496 deals) and Mersin (141 deals) remain the most popular regions among foreign buyers.
