Russians topped the list of top 10 foreign buyers of real estate in Turkey

According to the results of October 2025, foreign citizens purchased 2,106 properties in Turkey, which is 0.8% less than in the same month of 2024. Foreign transactions accounted for 1.3% of the total number of properties sold. The largest volume of sales to foreigners was in Antalya (729 properties), Istanbul (725 properties) and Mersin (192 properties).

In the first ten months of this year, foreign buyers purchased 17,050 properties, which is 11.3% less than in the corresponding period of 2024. Russians led the way in terms of the number of properties purchased, with 315 transactions; Germany took second place with 191 purchases, and Iranian citizens completed 172 transactions.

These figures confirm the continuing demand from foreigners for Turkish housing, despite a slight decline in sales compared to last year. The main interest is concentrated in the popular regions of Antalya and Istanbul, reflecting the continued attractiveness of these cities for foreign investors. Sales to Russian buyers confirm Russia's leading position among foreign investors in Turkey.
