In July, the published statistics shows the extent of real estate sales in Turkey to foreign individuals

According to the Turkish Statistical Institute (commonly known as TurkStat or TÜİK), foreign buyers purchased a total of 2,801 residential properties in July 2023. This number represents a 28.9% decrease compared to the previous year. Out of these properties, Russians bought the most with a total of 772 transactions. Iranians came in second place with 272 real estate transactions.

Iraqis also made it to the top-3, accounting for 204 purchases. The number of transactions with Russians increased by 39 units compared to June of the previous year. When it comes to the most popular areas for buying property among foreign citizens, Antalya takes the lead, followed by Istanbul and Mersin.
