2023 real estate sales results announced

In 2023, there was a 17.5% decrease in real estate sales in Turkey compared to the previous year, with a total sales volume of 1,225,926 apartments. Istanbul led in terms of the number of transactions with 198,739, accounting for 16.2% of the market share. It was followed by Ankara with 114,432 sales (9.3% of the total) and Izmir with 65,465 sales (5.3%).

Russians ranked first in terms of the number of transactions among foreigners. However, in the overall context, the interest of foreign buyers in Turkish real estate decreased by 48.1% in 2023 compared to the previous year, reaching 35,005 sales. This represents 2.9% of the total volume of real estate sold in the country.
