In February, Turkey recorded a 17.3% increase in property sales compared to the same period last year. The total number of transactions reached 93,902. The largest share of sales is in Istanbul with 17.4% and 16,344 transactions. Ankara and Izmir ranked second and third with 8,300 and 5,168 sales, respectively, accounting for 8.8% and 5.5% of the total number of transactions.
Secondary housing sales also increased by 15.5 percent in February 2024 compared to February 2023, reaching 65,308 transactions. This represents 69.5 per cent of the total number of sales.
