The Alanya municipality has begun building a multi-purpose community centre in the Elikesik district. The foundation was laid at a ceremony where Mayoral Advisor Nazmi Zavlak and neighbourhood headman İsmail Kızılışık poured the first concrete together with residents. The facility, which the district had awaited for years, is one of the election promises of Mayor Osman Tarık Özçelik.
The centre will cover 250 m² of indoor space and 300 m² of open area. It will host weddings, engagements, henna nights, residents' meetings and shared iftar dinners. Alongside it, the site will feature a children's playground and sports areas for young people, while women will get a dedicated workshop for handmade crafts. A single building thus meets several everyday needs of the neighbourhood at once.
Investment in social infrastructure makes Alanya's districts more convenient for permanent living, not just for holidays. New public spaces, children's playgrounds and sports grounds raise the quality of the urban environment and the appeal of such neighbourhoods for those choosing property in Alanya with an eye on comfort and amenities close to home.
