Changes are coming to the short-term rental market in Turkey

According to Turkey's Minister of Culture and Tourism, Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, the country needs additional regulation in the short-term rental property sector. In recent months, there has been an increase in the demand for daily rental apartments in Turkey. This leads to low occupancy rates in hotels, which has a negative impact on the overall economy. It is expected that this issue will be addressed at the legislative level in October, but the details of the decisions have not been disclosed. It is likely that restrictions will be introduced that will reduce the number of properties available for daily rental. There is no discussion of restricting the market for long-term rental properties.
