The Land Registry and Cadastre General Directorate posted a video on their official website which features the updated title deed for property – the TAPU.
Every year, over eight million of title deeds are issued in the Turkish Republic. To make the work of the Land Registry and Cadastre more efficient, the new data base system has been implemented.
These innovations facilitate procedure of deed transactions. You just need to fill in an online form and you will receive a text message notification every time you make any transaction. After that you will be offered to leave a review of the Cadastre organisation services so that they will be able to monitor the quality of services.
At the end of 2018, the Minister for Environment and Urban Planning announced the new title deed which meets all modern information and technology requirements. Apart from the updated design (the new TAPU is decorated with the Ottoman star pattern), the title deed has a QR code using which you will be able to enter the TAKBIS system and see all related information concerning your property. Another innovation is that every property will have an identification number which you will need to provide instead of the address details.
You can check out how the new title deed looks like in the video.
