On April 1, only Turkey to offer foreigners to obtain citizenship for real estate purchases

Grenada has changed its migration policy, and now Russians have limited ways to reside in the country.

Russian buyers of Grenada housing can obtain citizenship until April 1, but the North American country stops accepting applications from Russians after that date. The reasons for this decision are obvious — it is a geopolitical situation. Montenegro, Malta, the Dominican Republic, Antigua and Barbuda and some other countries have done the same.

The Turkish state programme "Citizenship by Investment" allows foreigners to get citizenship by investing $400,000. The beginning of this year was marked by a significant tightening of the rules for participating in this programme. The government is proposing to raise the entry threshold to $1 million. The public demands to curtail the programme.

For the global real estate market, 2022 is marked by a twofold increase in demand from Russians. According to the Central Bank, the price increase for Turkish apartments amounted to 153%. The source stressed that January 2023 showed an additional 6.9% increase in supply.
