Rent growth in Turkey became the world’s highest

According to Knight Frank, rental rates in Turkey in 2022 showed the highest growth, overtaking 56 countries monitored by the consulting company. Over the year, the cost of rent in the country has increased by 160%. The fastest growth was recorded in Antalya, where the cost increased fourfold.

The cost of renting in Turkey has started to rise since March 2022 — when citizens of Russia and Ukraine began to arrive in the country.

According to the president of the Chamber of Realtors Nizamettin Asha, the increase is caused by inflation and other reasons by only 70%.
