Comparing with March 2019, this year’s March property sales in Turkey decreased by 3% and reached the level of 3,000 items. The top of the most active countries included Iraq, Iran and Russia.
The decrease in demand caused by the pandemic situation in the world did not significantly affect the real estate market in Turkey. The country managed to sell about 109,000 properties. Most of the sold items are secondary housing.
In March 2020, about 74,500 transactions were made in the secondary housing sector and 34,000 – in the newly built properties sector. The most popular locations included Antalya, Ankara and Istanbul.
