The 11th International Crafts and Painting Exhibition continues in Alanya

The 11th International Crafts and Painting Exhibition, organised by the ‘New Alanyans’ platform with the support of the Alanya Municipality, has been running for five days at the city's Cultural Centre. The exhibition, which opened on Monday, 23 February, attracted hundreds of visitors and became a notable cultural event of early spring on the Turkish coast.

The halls feature works by 38 artists and craftsmen from 10 countries. The exhibition brings together paintings in various techniques, ceramics, textiles and decorative handicrafts. Visitors can see how the national traditions of different peoples coexist harmoniously: from delicate oriental ornaments to bright European landscapes and abstract compositions. Of particular interest are the mini-master classes conducted by the participants right on the site.

According to the organisers, the exhibition not only showcases art, but also highlights the multinational character of Alanya, a city where representatives of dozens of nationalities live peacefully. ‘We are delighted that the project is bringing together creative people and audiences for the eleventh time, strengthening cultural bridges,’ said the event coordinators.

The exhibition is open daily until 1 March inclusive. Admission is free. Residents and guests of Alanya still have the opportunity to visit the exhibition on the remaining days and personally get acquainted with the works of international authors in a warm, friendly atmosphere.
