Minimum property price for obtaining residence permit in Turkey changes again

The Turkish Directorate General of Migration Management has announced stricter regulations for obtaining residence permits for foreigners. Previously, the minimum property value that allowed foreigners to apply for a residence permit was $50,000 in provinces and $75,000 in major cities. Now, a unified figure of at least $200,000 has been introduced for the entire country.

To apply for a residence permit, it will be sufficient to present a certificate of ownership (TAPU) that reflects the purchase price. An additional cadastral assessment of the actual value of the property is not required. These legislative changes apply to those who have registered their transactions on or after October 16.
