Progress on the Antalya-Alanya motorway project: work is accelerating

The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) has approved financing of US$140 million for the Antalya-Alanya motorway project. The project is being carried out by Limak Construction in partnership with the General Directorate of Highways. Construction began in July 2025 and is being carried out under a build-operate-transfer scheme, whereby the contractor builds and operates the facility before ultimately transferring it to the state.

The route will connect the Antalya-Serik junction with the Alanya-Konakli junction, passing through Manavgat. The project will ease congestion on the existing D-400 highway and cut travel time by almost half.

Improved transport accessibility is expected to create conditions that will revitalise the agricultural sector, strengthen tourism potential and expand trade opportunities in the region.
