According to the TUIK report for September 2025, 150,657 residential property transactions were registered in the country, reflecting a 6.9% increase over last year's figures. In terms of the number of agreements concluded, the country's largest metropolis leads the way with 24,119 sales, followed by Ankara (13,417) and Izmir (8,544). The most modest results in terms of transaction volume were recorded in Ardahan (70 properties), Bayburt (117) and Tunceli (142).
Positive dynamics are observed both in the new home market and in resales: the volume of transactions with primary housing increased by 5% — 47,117 cases were registered. The secondary segment showed an increase of 7.8%, which is equivalent to 103,540 properties. In the market structure, the share of secondary transactions is 68.7%, and new construction transactions is 31.3% for the month.
In total, for the first nine months of the year, the number of residential properties purchased and sold reached 1,128,727, which is 19.2% more than in the same period last year.
