Renovation work is underway on Mustafa Uyar Park in Mahmutlar, Alanya

Renovation work has begun on the Mustafa Uyar Cultural and Recreational Park in the Mahmutlar district of the resort town of Alanya. The 1,215-square-metre green space on Menderes Boulevard has long been in need of refurbishment, and the municipality has now commenced work.

The Alanya Parks and Gardens Department is overseeing the project. Old pavements and kerbs will be replaced, new paths laid, and modern street furniture installed. Particular attention is being paid to landscaping: dry plants will be removed, existing ones pruned, and new ones planted to blend harmoniously into the landscape.

The main new feature of the project will be a photo zone with decorative elements and plant arrangements for striking photographs.

The irrigation, electricity and lighting systems will be upgraded with new lampposts to ensure the park is comfortable in the evenings. A sanitary area of around 30 square metres will also be refurbished.

As a result, the space will be transformed into a leisure hub for families, young people and tourists, helping Alanya to remain an attractive resort.
