Сost per square meter outside the metropolitan areas of Turkey increases

Real estate experts say the coronavirus pandemic is the cause of the increase.

The Central Bank of Turkey has cited figures showing the rise in prices for local real estate in the September report. So, in the first month of autumn, the cost of residential properties in the country increased by 27.3% compared to September 2019 (prices are in TL). The biggest increase was seen in the cost of apartments located outside the cities. For example, prices for houses and apartments in Aydin and Muglu regions increased by 36.3% on an annualized basis.

The increase in the cost of country houses in Turkey is associated with the growing popularity of cottages caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
