In January, Russian citizens purchased 479 properties out of 4186 sold in this period. Iranians and Iraqis became the leaders among buyers. Sales growth reached 56.5%. On the part of local residents, this indicator was only 25% year-on-year.
For foreigners, there is another interesting news: Real Estate International Promotion Association (GIGDER) has made a proposal to regulate the amount of commission services of real estate agencies, where the fee reaches 30% of the transaction value. The resolution submitted to the Ministry of Trade contains a proposal to bring the commission amounts to international standards, setting the upper limit at 7%. This will avoid unnecessary expenses when buying real estate in Turkey. It is most profitable to cooperate with developers, as it eliminates the additional costs that are inevitable when searching for real estate through real estate agencies.
