Summing up the sales results of Turkish real estate in July: the Russians set new records

The first half of the year saw a record-breaking increase in real estate sales to foreigners. In comparison to the same period in 2021, demand roughly doubled. In July, the Russians took first place for the purchase of Turkish housing stock. A total of 2,455 transactions were concluded with nationals of other countries. The share of sales to foreigners amounted to 4.2% of the total sales. 1,288 of these units were purchased by the Russians. Residents of Iran and Iraq are in second and third place, respectively, in terms of transactions. Istanbul remains the most popular shopping area for buying property. 14,350 houses were sold there.
