In Turkey, 127,088 residential properties were purchased in July 2024, an increase of 16.0% compared to the results of July 2023. The highest number of property transactions were registered in Istanbul (19,047 houses), Ankara (11,364 houses) and Antalya (6,659 houses). During the current period, total housing sales fell 0.5% year-on-year to 672,162 transactions.
Real estate transactions in new buildings increased by 28.9% in July, with a total of 40,784 houses sold, equal to 32.1% of the total number of transactions for the year. In the first 7 months of 2024, primary home sales rose 5.6% year-on-year to 214,108 transactions.
